Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane took to social media and announced the birth of his daughter.
The England striker revealed that his long-time girlfriend Kate Goodland has given birth to their first child – a baby girl, whom the pair have named Ivy Jane Kane.
According to reports, the baby girl weighed 7.8lbs.
Harry Kane was elated and expressed his pride after Ivy Jane’s birth and the England striker took to Twitter to convey the amazing news to his 611,000 followers.
Harry Kane has known Kate Goodland since their childhood years and has been dating her since their teenage days.
After the news broke in, Kane’s fellow Spurs teammate Dele Alli congratulated the couple.
Alli took to Twitter after Tottenham’s win over Aston Villa in the FA Cup, and tweeted: “Special congrats to Harry Kane and Kate Goodland on becoming parents.”
Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney also sent his best wishes to the couple, saying: “Congrats to you both. Your next dele.’”
Harry Kane was unavailable for the FA Cup clash with Aston Villa due to the expected birth of his first child and now that her girlfriend has given birth to a baby girl, the English striker is all smiles and a bit emotional.
Spurs missed their star striker Kane in the FA Cup clash, as they looked sloppy and lacked the finishing in the first-half – with youngster Vincent Janssen continuing his toothless form.
However, the story was completely different when Dele Alli replaced the Dutch striker to boost Spurs’ confidence. Ben Davies and Son Heung-Min scored for Pochettino’s side as they outplayed Aston Villa 2-0 on Sunday.
Kane has been given a week to enjoy the birth of his daughter before he returns to face West Brom in the Premier League on Saturday.
