Premier League side West Brom have agreed in principle with Tottenham Hotspur over a £13m deal for winger Nacer Chadli, according to foottheball sources.
With Erik Lamela, Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen in the squad, Nacer Chadli has failed earn a place in the first team in the new Premier League season. It is believed that he does not fit in Pochettino’s plans for the new season. The winger who had joined Spurs from FC Twente in 2013, failed to make it to the bench in Spurs’ first three matches of the new season.
The 27-year-old has scored 25 goals in 129 games for Tottenham in all competitions. The winger is expected to undergo a medical and agree personal terms with West Brom on Monday.
West Brom were also interested in roping in Southampton striker Jay Rodriguez on loan, but after failing to reach an agreement with The Saints, they secured a £13m deal for roping in Spurs winger Chadli.
Tony Pulis has been busy this summer in search for fresh players and sources confirm that he wants to sign five players before the end of the summer transfer window. West Brom are on brink of signing Malaga midfielder Ignacio Camacho and sources claim that they have already agreed a £15m deal for the midfielder.
While speaking about the expected signings before the transfer window closes, Pulis said that he would not make any late panic buys, and the club would sign only the players needed to bolster the squad.
“I’m not going to panic and bring a load of players in to satisfy people out there and then, after two weeks, they say they are no better than what we’ve got,” said Pulis
“I still think I’m getting them (the five players). I have been at the club for two years and we have re-signed a lot of players who were under contract, but I have also said we need new impetus.
“They have to be the right players. When I came into the club there were players who were here and have since left and they cost an enormous amount of money and the club has not got any return.”
