Milan Capture Deulofeu On Loan Deal From Everton

Published on:

AC Milan and Everton have reached a deal for the toffees midfielder Gerard Deulofeu to join the Rossoneri on a 6-month loan deal.

Everton confirmed the move through their social media handle.

Milan had earlier posted a premature news through a tweet which was later deleted after Everton’s objection.

“Gerard Deulofeu has joined AC Milan on loan until the end of the season,” the Merseysiders posted on their official website.

The 22-year-old first arrived at the Goodison Park in 2013 on a season-long loan from Barcelona, before making the deal permanent in 2015.

Negotiations for Deulofeu had been dragging for a long-time now and both the clubs would be happy after reaching negotiations.

Milan had a fantastic start to the season, but have struggled after the winter break.

Deulofeu will certainly add fire-power to Vincenzo Montella’s young side and the Italian giants will be hoping that the Spaniard can help their charge to a Champions League qualification spot.

“He has scored eight goals in 75 appearances across his two spells and now moves to the San Siro looking to gain more game time after making 13 outings for the Toffees in the first half of 2016/17.”
