PSG star Marco Verratti would happily make a switch to Manchester United, according journalist Miguel Delaney.
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is keen on adding more reinforcements as he eyes to challenge for the Premier League title this season.
The Portuguese boss is desperately searching for a central midfielder and has been linked with moves for Inter Milan star Ivan Perisic and Chelsea outcast Nemanja Matic.
Man Utd had earlier showed huge interest in Eric Dier but the Spurs bosses made it clear that they do not want to sell any of their key players – pointing out particularly that they are not interested in listening to offers for the English midfielder.
Man Utd’s pursuit of Perisic has been dealt a blow as Inter are holding out for a £48million fee and have also demanded Anthony Martial to be a part of the deal for the Croatian star.
Nemanja Matic is willing to move to Man Utd but Chelsea are reluctant to sell to a direct rival.
The Red Devils have also been linked with moves for Monaco’s Fabinho and Roma’s Radja Nainggolan, but it seems that the duo are likely to stay put at their current clubs.
And now reports have claimed that Man Utd officials are holding talks with PSG over a move for Verratti.
The Italian midfielder has proved his mettle at PSG after arriving from Pescara in 2012.
His sublime form for the Ligue 1 giants has drawn huge interest from top-flight European clubs.
Barcelona are keen on roping in Verratti, whose current contract at PSG runs out in 2021.
The Barca bosses have identified Verratti as a long-term replacement for Andres Iniesta.
However, so far the Italian midfielder has not been able to negotiate his exit from the Ligue 1 giants.

Verratti has been linked with a move away from PSG in the last few transfer windows and now after a switch to Raiola, it is believed that he wants to test new waters after the French club failed to retain the Ligue 1 title in the 2016-17 campaign.
Though the Italian midfielder has made a move to the La Liga club his top priority, he is also open to other offers if his expected switch to Barca breaks down.
And journalist Delaney has claimed that Verratti is now ready to negotiate his exit from PSG – and his agent Mino Raiola could persuade him to make a switch to Old Trasfford.
“If you want the situation forced, which Verratti clearly does, Raiola is very good at this,” Delaney told The Second Captains podcast.”
“Verratti really does want to leave Paris. He wants to go to Barcelona – but he would be interested in a move elsewhere.”
“Raiola has significant links and has done noticeable business with certain clubs – particularly Manchester United.”
The Super-agent has helped United to sign five players in the last two years and now it seems he can convince Verratti to join the Red Devils this summer.
Raiola has driven big money transfer for his clients – Sergio Romero, Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United. He had also convinced Gianluigi Donnarumma to part ways with AC Milan, before the Serie A club tied down the Italian goalkeeper on a bumper new deal.
