Chelsea January Transfer
Chelsea have suffered one of the worst starts of the season as they currently find themselves eighth on the Premier League table. And after spending well over € 250 million in the summer transfer window, the Blues have kept up their spending spree. Their star signing has been Ukrainian winger Mykhailo Mudryk, signed for an upfront fee of € 62 million that could rise close to € 89 million.
They also signed Atletico Madrid’s star attacker Joao Felix on loan till the end of the season.
In addition, they have also signed Ivorian striker David Datro Fofana from Norwegian club Molde.
The Blues were also suffering in defence, leaking several goals. This is why they signed centre-back Benoît Badiashile from AS Monaco for €37 million. The 21-year-old is expected to be integral to Graham Potter’s plans going forward. To further bolster the defence, Lyon’s talented teenager Malo Gusto was added to the squad and will spend the rest of the season on loan to Lyon before joining in the summer.
Vasco da Gama midfielder Andrey Nascimento dos Santos, famously known as Andrey Santos, joined the club in a deal worth €13 million. Their recent addition has been attacking midfielder Noni Madueke who joins from Dutch side PSV.
Meanwhile, Cesare Casadei has gone on loan to Reading, and Jude Soonsup-Bell has joined Tottenham Hotspur for an undisclosed fee.

Newcastle United January Transfer
Newcastle United are flying under their new ownership. After the takeover by the Saudi Public Investment Fund, PCP Capital Partners, and the Reuben Brothers, the club became one of the richest in the world. And they have spent their money smartly signing talented players all over the pitch rather than opting for stars.
And in the current transfer window, they have already begun their business. They had already completed a deal for Australian teenage sensation Garang Kuol months ago. He became an official player on January 1 but has been sent straight to Scottish club Hearts on loan till the end of the season.
They have also recalled goalkeeper Martin Dubravka from Manchester United, where he was on loan. In addition, Amadou Diallo has also joined after a successful trial, while midfielder Matty Longstaff has returned from a loan spell at Colchester.
However, their biggest signing of the season has been winger Anthony Gordon who has been signed for €45 million. The 21-year-old, who spent his youth career at Liverpool and Everton, is considered one of the best young talents and will massively boost Newcastle’s attack.

In addition, Arsenal are only the seventh-ever side in English league history to score 50 points after 19 games. However, Arsenal did manage to sign Leandro Trossard and the impressive Jorginho to their squad.
Mikel Arteta has transformed his side into a brilliant attacking machine that looks likely to bring the title back to the club after over a decade. Manchester United have recovered brilliantly after a stuttering start to the Premier League season. Currently, they are in fourth place, one point behind second-placed Manchester City. They will officially let Cristiano Ronaldo go after terminating his contract following an interview with Piers Morgan where he criticised the club.
They have also signed striker Wout Weghorst from Burnley. The Dutch striker was on loan to Turkish side Besiktas and only signed after a €3m compensation fee was agreed upon. The fee will be paid by United and will be equally split between Burnley and Besiktas. And in the final minutes of the transfer window they also signed midfielder Marcel Sabitzer from Bayern Munich on a loan.
