Jorge Mendes has kept the rumour mill ticking and has not ruled out rumours that Chelsea outcast Diego Costa is set to make a switch to AC Milan this summer.
Blues superstar Diego Costa is still waiting for Chelsea to take a final call over his future.
Antonio Conte told Costa that he is not wanted at Chelsea next season and the Spanish striker is furious at the lack of respect the Blues boss showed by snubbing him by TEXT.
Former club Atletico Madrid are in pole position to re-sign the Spanish striker despite being hit with a transfer ban.
The Spanish striker has been also linked with a move to AC Milan amid rumours of a switch to the cash-rich Chinese Super League. However, Costa had accentuated that he would not move to China as it would decrease his chances of playing in the World Cup.
While talking about Andre Silva’s €38 million transfer to AC Milan, Mendes also spoke about Costa but did not delve into finer detail about a possible switch to the Serie A club.
Mendes said: “Diego Costa to Milan? What I talk to Milan about, I won’t tell the press…”
Costa displayed incredible form with 20 goals to his name in the Premier League as the Blues were crowned champions in Conte’s debut campaign in England.
Costa still has two years left on his current £180,000-a-week contract.
And as he has not filed in a transfer request, he could still pocket a mammoth loyalty payment from the Blues when he leaves.
