FC Goa Signs Two Brazilian Players For Indian Super League

FC Goa have roped in two more Brazilians — defender Leonardo da Silva Moura and midfielder Jonatan Lucca — taking their total number of foreign signings to eight players including six Brazilians, official sources said on Friday.

Moura, 36, who captained top Brazilian side Flamengo in the past had represented the Brazilian national team in a friendly against Ireland.

He has represented all four of Rio de Janeiro’s big clubs which include Botafogo, Vasco, Fluminense and Flamengo.

He spent 10 years at Flamengo, whom he also captained and made 312 club appearances.

FC Goa open their campaign in the second edition of the ISL with a home game against Delhi Dynamos at the Nehru Stadium in Fatorda on October 4.

The foreign signings are: Lucio, Gregory Arnolin, Jofre Gonzalex, Reinaldo de Oliveira, Victor Simoes, Elinton Andrade, Leonardo da Silva Moura and Jonatan Lucca.
