Boca Juniors star Carlos Tevez has revealed that he is considering a lucrative deal from China but added that he could opt to retire from football as-well.
The iconic striker is a cult hero with Boca having played for the club as a teenager and rejoining them in 2015 for a second spell.
Tevez said that he is considering whether to take up on the €40 million-per-year from Shanghai Shenhua in the Chinese Super League.
Carlos Tevez had stated his desire to win the Copa Libertadores with Boca Juniors but the club are out of the competition for 2017.
“Right now I am only thinking about the Superclasico,” he said, ahead of the blockbuster derby against bitter rivals River Plate.
“I’ve got too much going on to think about the offer from China. First come River, then Colon, then I am getting married.”
“I will think it over in the [Argentine summer] break. I might not just leave, I could also retire from football.”
The 32-year-old has received a €40 million-per-year to join Uruguayn coach Gustavo Poyet in China.
Poyet even admitted to having approved the signing of the former Juventus striker, “have wanted to sign Tevez for a long time.”
“I have approved the signing and I am hopeful,” the ex-Chelsea midfielder added.
