Alexis Sanchez’s contract tussle saga has taken a new turn as the Chile international has claimed that he is very happy at the club.
The 28-year-old insisted that he is very happy with life at the Emirates Stadium and hopes to win the Premier League or Champions League with the north-London outfit.
The former Barcelona man has entered the last 18 months on his contract along with another star player Mesut Ozil, with both players stalling contract negotiation until Arsene Wenger’s future at the club is decided.
Although a substantial pay-rise is also another factor for the star duo to be delaying contact negotiations.
The two-time Copa America winner added to what Mesut Ozil had claimed on Sunday, that he is very happy at the club and wants to re-pay the fans with silverware for their tremendous support.
“I definitely feel like an important player, and my team-mates let me know every day,” he told Arsenal’s official YouTube channel. “I try to prove that I am an important player every day and game after game.”
“I believe we have the players and the quality to win many things. I feel really happy and comfortable at the club. I want to give the fans a new title.”
“We always get our fans’ support in the thick and thin, which is great. We must win the Premier League or Champions League for them.”
Alexis Sanchez has been vocal about his frustrations recently, which was evident in the draw against Bournemouth when he threw his gloves and against Swansea after he was subbed.
