The 31-year old Real Madrid superstar watched the match from home and was quick to post a picture of his mates celebrating with the trophy.
He posted the picture on his Instagram account with the caption “Champions”.
Other major misses from the Madrid line-up were Welsh superstar Gareth Bale, Ronaldo’s compatriot Pepe, Toni Kroos and Keylor Navas.
