Portuguese teenage sensation Renato Sanches has expressed his displeasure at the lack of football in his debut season at Bayern Munich.
The 19-year-old signed for the Bavarian giants in the pre-season last summer in a big money move after starring in Portugal’s triumphant EURO 2016 campaign.
However, Renato Sanches has failed to break into the first-team at the Allianz Arena, making just six starts under Carlo Ancelotti.
The Portuguese international is being linked with a loan move away from the club for next season as he continues to develop as a future superstar.
When questioned about game-time and his future, Sanches could not hide his disappointments.
He said: “It was not very good, but the next season is sure to be better. I was expecting more, of course, but I’m confident that the future will be better.”
“I had a few minutes this season and I have to play to be more and more prepared.”
Asked what had gone wrong for him in Germany, he added: “I do not want to talk about that, I feel good at Bayern. The goal is to play more and be more influential in the team.”
Renato Sanches is seen as a star for the future by the Bavarian giants bosses and the club are said to be aware of his unhappiness.
