La Liga giants Real Madrid are ready to offer Tottenham Karim Benzema to push through a deal for Harry Kane, according to reports.
Real Madrid have made a mixed start to the season and are keen to add more firepower up front.
The Los Blancos bosses are keen to sign a new striker and have identified Harry Kane as their top transfer target for next summer.
The Real bosses believe that Kane is a level higher than their current striker Benzema, who will turn 30 in December and has been linked with a move away from the Bernabeu over the course of the last few seasons.
The French striker signed a new deal at Real Madrid this season but the Los Blancos bosses want to include him as a part of a player plus cash deal to tempt Spurs to sell their most prized asset.
And according to El Gol Digital, Real president Florentino Perez is ready to include Benzema in a potential deal to land Kane at the Bernabeu.
The report claims that Real are aware that they would have to splurge around £180million if they offer an only-cash deal for Kane and so they want to offer Benzema to the North London club in order to cut the price down to around £108m.
Spurs have done business with Real Madrid before and they are well aware that the Los Blancos bosses are eyeing to lure Kane away to Spain.
The La Liga giants have snapped up both Gareth Bale and Luka Modric from the North London club in recent times.
But this time around Spurs chairman Daniel Levy wants to make it clear that the club wants to keep Kane for the long-term and having insisted on numerous occasions that the England star is not for sale.
And to make it difficult for Real Madrid, Levy values Kane at more than £200m, according to The Times.
The report claim that Kane will not be allowed to leave the club for anything less than what PSG paid Barcelona for signing Neymar in August.
Players in England are not obliged to have a release clause in their contract and so Spurs can demand an astronomical amount for Kane if Real Madrid come calling.
The Spurs bosses have already made it clear that they do want to sell any of their star players, with Dele Alli also the subject of transfer speculation.
But according to the Times, both Barcelona and their arch rivals Real Madrid are interested in signing Alli, who has emerged alongside Kane, as one of the brightest talents in Europe.
