Real Madrid would welcome Neymar with open arms if the former Barcelona forward opts to make a switch to the Bernabeu, says Los Blancos defender Sergio Ramos.
Neymar moved from La Liga giants Barcelona to Ligue 1 club PSG earlier this summer for a record breaking £200million and has been in excellent form this season –with 11 goals to his name so far.
Despite enjoying certain privileges at Paris, Neymar is reportedly unhappy at his new club and is said to be seeking a move back to the La Liga.
Neymar fell out with strike partner Edinson Cavani over a dispute about set-pieces, and according to reports in France, is already frustrated with PSG boss Unai Emery.
Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar’s father has reportedly met with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez over talks of replacing Cristiano Ronaldo.
According to Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo, sources in Paris have revealed that Perez and Neymar Sr have spoken about a possible transfer involving the Brazilian.
And Ramos has now added spark to transfer rumours by saying that he’d love to see Neymar at Real Madrid.
“I like to have the best and it’s clear Neymar is one of them,” Ramos told Cadena Ser.
“Maybe it was easier for him to go to PSG, instead of directly to Real Madrid.
“They are personal decisions, you never know what can happen because football goes around a lot.
“I already have the door open for him if he wants to come. I also have a good relationship with him.”
PSG are unlikely to sell Neymar any time soon, with the mega-rich club under no pressure to raise cash.
However, it is believed that PSG would not sell Neymar at any price as the cash-rich Ligue 1 club are under no pressure to raise funds.
It is understood that a move to Real Madrid might only be possible when Ronaldo’s contract expires in 2021.
