‘I Haven’t Seen Ozil For A Week!’ – Wenger Rules Out German’s Return

Mesut Ozil is nowhere near to returning to action as the Arsenal star continues to suffers from illness claims boss Arsene Wenger.

The German has been out of action since the Gunners 1-0 win over West Brom on the boxing day.

Arsene Wenger said that he has not seen the German international for a week now.

Ozil has been under criticism for his under-par performances in Arsenal’s back-to-bak losses to Everton and Manchester City.

“I haven’t seen [Ozil] for a week,” Wenger said.

“It was an easy decision [to not include him]. He is still in bed.”

“He’s not available and I don’t think he will be available for the next game as he hasn’t done anything for a week.”

The former Real Madrid star is not expected to make a return before Gunners January 14 trip to Swansea City.
