Premier League giants Manchester United are keen on signing Juventus forward Paulo Dybala next summer – and Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho is extremely confident of landing the Argentine at Old Trafford on a a £60m deal.
Mourinho wants to add more firepower to his squad and he is still not convinced by Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Juan Mata.
The former Borussia Dortmund, who joined the Red Devils last summer, has now gone down the pecking order and Mourinho has made it clear that there is no place for him in the United squad.
The Armenian winger, who has fallen out with Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford, has been dropped from the squad for much of the last two months.
And now Mourinho is ready to sell Mkhitaryan in January in order to free up space for Dybala at the end of the season.
The 28-year-old attacker has been linked with a return to his former side Borussia Dortmund but he wants to stay in the Premier League.
The Argentine star has emerged as one of the the most lethal forwards in the world of football in the recent seasons.
Dybala is in red-hot form this season – with already 15 goals and 4 assists to his name in 25 appearances for Juventus in all competitions.
The Argentine forward had arrived at Juve from Palermo for £30million in 2015 and helped the Serie A giants to win thee three trophies in his debut season.
Mourinho knows that he will have to face competition for Dybala’s signatures from Europe’s elite clubs – with Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich monitoring the availability of the Argentine star.
Barcelona had identified Dybala as a potential replacement for Neymar, who made a switch to PSG on a world-record £200million deal – and the Catalan giants are still in the market to fill the void after the Brazilian’s departure.
Bayern Munch have shown huge interest in the player in the recent months but United have lined up a move for the Argentine and a deal could already be in place, according to Daily Star.
United have signed Javier Ribalta as their head scout in the summer and he could play a vital role in luring away Dybala to Old Trafford next summer.
Ribalta was the scouting chief at Juventus and shares a strong bond with Dybala.
Dybala has earned 12 Argentinean caps and will be in the squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
