Liverpool have been offered the chance to hijack Man Utd’s move for PSG star Lucas Moura, according to reports.

Liverpool are desperate to rope in a new attacker after the departure of Philippe Coutinho, who made a switch to Barcelona at the weekend.

Speculations suggest that the Brazilian forward is eyeing to make a move away from PSG in search of regular football ahead of the World Cup in Russia this year.

Reports have claimed that the 25-year-old have already agreed contract terms with Man Utd and is on the verge of completing a switch to Old Trafford this month.

But, according to French newspaper Le Parisien, Liverpool have now been offered the chance to steal Moura from under the noses of Man Utd.

Lucas Moura has gone down the pecking order after the arrival of Mbappe and Neymar

Moura reportedly is not happy with his life at PSG and has no intention of playing for the club beyond this month.

The Brazilian has gone down the pecking order after the arrival of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe in the summer.

Moura has just earned 71 minutes of game time in Ligue 1 for PSG so far this season and he is not cup-tied in the Champions League.

And this has now drawn Liverpool’s attention with Jurgen Klopp’s side still in the European top-flight competition.

And according to Le Parisian, Liverpool have a golden opportunity of signing the Brazilian as a cheap replacement for Coutinho.

It is being said that Moura prefers a move away from Ligue 1 – which cancels out a move to Lyon or Monaco.

PSG boss Unai Emery recently explained why Moura is not a regular figure in the first-team.

“Some players who play less, maybe they can be protagonists of another team because they are good players and do not have the opportunity to play here, like Lucas Moura or Hatem Ben Arfa,” he said.
