Juventus are going all out to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti according to reports in Italy.
The Parisians have set a €80m asking price for the Italian international and the Bianconeri are willing to match the price to land the much sought after forward.
The Old Lady will spend big on the 24-year-old in the coming summer to bolster squad after the resurgence of AC Milan and Roma opened up the Serie A title race this season.
Juventus director Beppe Marotta had confirmed that the club were looking to bring in a big name to bolster the midfield for the 2017/18 season.
Juventus will add to the €90m they spent on Gonzalo Higuain this season, as the club chase the coveted Champions League prize.
However, in Higuain’s case – he had a release clause in his contract and it will be interesting to see if the Paris outfit would be willing to let go of their star asset to Juventus.
The two clubs had a falling out after Kingsley Coman incident and PSG had earlier refused to sell Blaise Matuidi to the Italian giants.
Although, what could work for Juve is that Marco Verratti has openly stated that he is a Bianconeri fan.
