England skipper Harry Kane said that the most important thing now is that the Three Lions have qualified for the World Cup scoring the winner against Slovenia at Wembley.
England had the intent to score an early goal right from the kick-off but they failed to create many clear-cut chances but finally they got the breakthrough when slotted the ball home form Kyle Walker’s cross in the 94th minute.
With their win over Slovenia on Thursday night, England will definitely finish top of Group F with a game left and skipper Kane was delighted to have secured a place in the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
He said: “We have qualified, and that’s all that matters. We had to be patient and in the last 10 minutes they were getting tired.
“It’s no easy feat these days (to qualify for a World Cup). We’re all delighted.”
“We have another game on Sunday and we need to keep doing what we’re doing and working hard.”
Kane maintained his sublime form as he scored the 14th goal of the season right at the fag end of the match.
Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions side will now fly off to Lithuania on Sunday as they are eyeing to remain unbeaten in their World Cup qualifier campaign.
After the international break, Kane will be back at Tottenham to lock horns with Bournemouth in the Premier League.
