Borussia Dortund have asked Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to stop talking about a potential transfer away from the club.
Aubameyang has become very vocal in suggesting that he could leave the Signal Iduna Park at the end of this season.
Real Madrid have been heavily linked with a move for the Gabon international and could come swooping in for the 27-year-old.
BVB have not taken the strikers remarks very kindly as the clubs sporting director Michael Zorc has advised the talisman t stop giving interviews about his future to the press and focus on the German giants bid to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
“We have had a brief meeting with Aubameyang and have advised him to give fewer interviews about his plans for the summer and focus more on the race for Champions League qualification,” Zorc said.
“We have a great relationship with him, but we had to do something to show our focus is on the sporting aspect of the game.”
Aubameyang has already netted 16 goals in the same number of appearances for Dortmund this season.
The German side are currently fourth in the Bundesliga, a point behind third-placed Eintracht Frankfurt.
Dortmund host shocking title-contenders RB Leipzig on Saturday.
