AC Milan are said to have reignited interest in Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The 27-year-old has continued his sublime form this season, having scored 35 goals in 42 appearances in all competition.
Although, it was reported recently that Manchester City were also eyeing a move for the £60m-rated talisman.
However, Milan will be favorites to land the Gabon international, with the Rossoneri also keen on bringing their former player back to the club.
The 27-year-old was spotted in Milan this past weekend with girlfriend Alysha Behague and his brother.
To add to the rumour Aubameyang’s brother Willy posted an Instagram story from just outside of the Casa Milan, the Diavolo’s headquarters.
Milan CEO Marco Fassone and sporting director Massimo Mirabelli are huge admirers of the Dortmund star.
The duo are preparing for the summer transfer market and it has been reported that the Gabon star is the prime target for the Rossoneri.
Meanwhile, Milan boss Vincenzo Montella’s job is also at risk with two back-to-back disappointing results against relegation threatened Empoli and Crotone.
The new Rossoneri owners will relieve the Italian of his duties if he fails to guide Milan to Europa League qualification.
Sources in Italy suggest that former Inter Milan boss Roberto Mancini could be in line to replace Montella if he is sacked.
