The local government in Madeira have paid tribute to the young legend by adding a sign to Madeira terminal which will be renamed on the Portuguese footballer’s name.
Ahead of the official unveiling on March 29, the signage went up on Friday.
Madeira is the island Ronaldo comes from and this airport will just add to his collection of hotels and the museum in Madeira’s capital city.
Aeroporto Da Madeira was named after late Beatles Singer John Lennon and now Ronaldo has been rewarded with a similar gesture.
Currently, Ronaldo is with the national team ahead of their friendly against Sweden on March 28.
