Andy is not the only Murray in the semifinals at Wimbledon this year — so is his older brother, Jamie, in men’s doubles.
Andy reached the final four in the men’s singles by beating Vasek Pospisil on Centre Court on Wednesday, a day after Jamie and partner John Peers of Australia made it that far in doubles.
The Murrays are the first brothers to reach the semifinals in singles and doubles at the same Wimbledon since John and Neale Fraser did it in 1962.
The Frasers both reached the singles semifinals and the doubles semifinals, with different partners. But neither reached the final in either event that year.

Andy Murray is through, and will next face Roger Federer in the Wimbledon semifinals.
Murray, the 2013 champion, beat Vasek Pospisil of Canada 6-4, 7-5, 6-4 Wednesday on Centre Court, finishing it off with the roof closed after a pair of rain delays.

Federer advanced to his 10th semifinal match at the All England Club by beating Gilles Simon of France 6-3, 7-5, 6-2.
