Southampton Terminates The Contract Of Italian Striker Daniel Osvaldo

Osvaldo-GoalEnglish football club Southampton has terminated the contract of Italian striker Daniel Osvaldo.

“Southampton Football Club can confirm that it has terminated the contract of striker Dani Osvaldo,” Efe quoted Southampton as saying on Wednesday.

“The Italian international, who has not played for the club since January 2014, yesterday completed a loan spell with Argentinean club Boca Juniors,” it added.

The 29-year-old striker, who played 14 games with Italy’s national team, was loaned to Juventus, Inter Milan and Boca Juniors.

The forward joined Southampton in August 2013 for 15.1 million euros ($16.7 million) from Italian club Roma.

Osvaldo played 13 games during his six months in the English Premier League (EPL), and scored three goals.
