If reports are to be believed, Barcelona center-half Gerard Pique has not been included in Barca team-mate Lionel Messi’s wedding guest list and the reason being the animosity between their significant halves.
Apparently, Messi’s bride-to-be Antonella Roccuzzo is close friends with Gerard Pique’s ex Nuria Tomas and did not like how things ended between them.
Roccuzzo, hence, hasn’t shared good terms with Pique’s better half Shakira since then. The result of which is Pique and Shakira’s absence from the much-awaited wedding.
Pique was in a relationship with Tomas while he appeared in Shakira’s Waka Waka video and then is when romance built up between the Spanish defender and the singer and end between Pique and Tomas.
Although, the feud between the two ladies hasn’t really affected the relationship both the men share on and off the field.
After being together in the successes of earning 14 La Ligas, eight Copa del Reys, seven Champions Leagues and six FIFA World Club Cup trophies,Gerard Pique would definitely have been among the top choices for Messi’s best man, we guess!
