Brazilian forward, Neymar will face a court trial after corruption charges over move from Santos to FC Barcelona.
Neymar sealed the transfer in 2013 as an investment group known as DIS were entitled to 40 percent of the Brazilian’s transfer fee.
The trial will demand the presence of the Neymar’s parents as the appeal was accepted by a Spanish judge. Josep Maria Bartomeu and former president Sandro Rosell are also set to stand trial after a complaint brought by Brazilian investment group DIS.
The investment group received a smaller compensation than it should have because part of the transfer fee was concealed.
Neymar and his representatives now have 10 days to formalize their request for the trial.
Whereas Douglas Costa is confident that his Brazilian teammate will not be affected by such trial charges ahead of their world cup qualifier match against Argentina.
“He doesn’t let factors away from the pitch affect him,” Bayern Munich winger Costa said ahead of Brazil’s World Cup qualifier against Argentina here on Thursday.
“He is a happy guy, he always thinks positively. This won’t be a problem.”
