New Man Utd manager Jose Mourinho looks to the revamp the entire United squad this summer to make an immediate impact in the upcoming Premier League 2016-17 season. Mourinho is believed to be fond of the French midfielder and believes that Pogba will be instrumental in strengthening the squad. Pogba joined united in 2009 as a youth prospect form Le Harve but made a move to Juventus on a free transfer due to lack of game time.
After joining the Bianconeri, Pogba has won three consecutive Serie A titles and has documented his name among the world’s best midfielders.
The initial offer is believed to be around £48m in fees with £12m in add-ons depending upon the number of appearances and the overall success of Manchester United in the upcoming EPL season and other domestic and continental competitions. Prior to Pogba link-up, United’s highest ever bid ever was a £59.7m offer for former Real Madrid winger Angel Di Maria in 2014.
Paul Pogba has been under the radar of top European clubs like Manchester City, Real Madrid and Barclona who are desperate to rope in the services of the talented Juventus playmaker. Football critics believe that it will be tough for Manchester United to convince Paul Pogba to join the club.
Even Zinedine Zidane had confirmed his interest in Pogba after defeating Atletico Madrid 5-3 on penalties in the Champions League final clash.
“He (Pogba) is a great player, every team would want to have him. But he is a Juventus player and we have to respect that,” said Zidane.
