Reports emerged at the beginning of April that Flick was set to replace Joachim Loew as the German national team coach. Soon after that reports emerged that suggested the Bavarians were eagerly trying to lure Julian Nagelsmann to Munich. Apparently the negotiations between the RB Leipzig and Bayern hierarchy have come to an end.
Re: Julian Nagelsmann
I have been told that Bayern been in touch with RB Leipzig and Leipzig could be willing to let him go.

Leipzig who are known for their shrewd negotiations were reportedly waiting on the Bavarians to pay them around €25 million for Naglesmann , which was paid to them as compensation after a slight delay.
Lothar Matthaus who was ever so confident about Munich securing Nagelsmann’s services for next season was not to worried about the rumours. Munich who seemingly made it a priority to appoint Nagelsmann moved quickly to silence the rumours surrounding the job at Tottenham Hotspurs.
I mentioned it on BBC Sport Today on Friday: Julian Nagelsmann is the frontrunner for the managerial position at Bayern Munich. Bayern are ready to pay at least €20m, possibly more. RB Leipzig won‘t stop the move if their demands are met. #Transfers #BayernMunich

Bayern Munich must be delighted with Nagelsmann’s appointment as he has long held aspirations to manage the Bavarian side. Not only that, his tactical principles of play are extremely similar to that of Flick. Nagelsmann who has been a lifelong Munich fan probably is buzzing after the confirmation. He is set to inherit the side that beat his Leipzig side to the title this season.

Bayern Munich under Flick were a scary opposition as it is. Now that the younger manager with similar pedigree is set to become the coach next season. We think a new era of dominance for Bayern Munich will begin with Nagelsmann. On a different note Spurs are still looking for a coach to take charge for next season and now that Nagelsmann is not an option, surely they will turn to the likes of Sarri, Allegri and Lampard next.
