Former Manchester United and Argentina international midfielder Juan Sebastian Veron has been named in Estudiantes’ squad for their opening Copa Libertadores clash against Botafogo in Rio de Janeiro on Tuesday.
The 42-year-old announced he would come out of retirement in December and donate his salary back to Estudiantes, where he is also club president.
Veron, who won the Copa Libertadores with Estudiantes in 2009, retired from football in 2014.

But he agreed to play again after supporters bought 65% of viewing boxes at the club’s new stadium.
Capped 73 times for Argentina, Veron’s career has included spells at Manchester United, Chelsea, Internazionale and Lazio.
