United had a good start to the season and were top of the table in October, but an injury crisis led the team into trouble and finally cost the Dutch manager his job.
Jose’s arrival will boost Manchester United’s chances of landing Swedish superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic this summer on a free transfer from PSG, where his contract is set to expire .
