The FIFA Secretary General Fatma Samoura visited a new football stadium in St. Petersburg, saying that the waiting for its completion was long but it was definitely worth it.

Local media reported that Fatma Samoura took part in the official ceremony of a 100-day countdown to the Confederations Cup. She said that the upcoming championship will give Russia an opportunity to make a name in the international football community.

The new stadium in St. Petersburg will host 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup and 2018 FIFA World Cup.
