Dutch league leaders Feyenoord and second-ranked Ajax booked a victory in the Eredivisie on Sunday.
Feyenoord defeated FC Utrecht 2-0 in Rotterdam. Jens Toornstra broke the deadlock in the second half and Eljero Elia decided the match with a magnificent shot ten minutes from time.
Ajax came behind against sc Heerenveen in Amsterdam through a goal by Reza Goochannejhad, but the home team bounced back to win 5-1. Nick Viergever, Matthijs de Ligt, Davy Klaassen, Kasper Dolberg and David Neres scored.
On Saturday PSV dropped points at ADO Den Haag (1-1). Davy Propper handed reigning champions PSV the lead in a good first half, but the visitors failed to extend the lead and ADO equalized three minutes from time. Mike Havenaar headed in after PSV goalkeeper Jeroen Zoet stopped a shot by Aaron Meijers.

Feyenoord now lead the table with 76 points from 31 matches, followed by Ajax (75) and PSV (69). The Rotterdam-based team, which became champions for the last time in 1999, will play Vitesse (away), Excelsior (away) and Heracles Almelo (home) in the final three match rounds, while Ajax await a heavy task against PSV (away), Go Ahead Eagles (home) and Willem II (away).
