Crystal Palace have beaten their competitors, at least for this transfer, with a club-record £32million bid accepted by Marseille for Belgium forward Michy Batshuayi.
Marseille have accepted that they will sell the 22-year-old striker this summer, and interest from Liverpool, West Ham and Juventus has pushed his price-tag high.
Here’s all you need to know:
- Crystal Palace eye Michy Batshuayi after failing to secure Fiorentina’s Khouma Babacar.
- Palace have beaten all expectations with an offer of €38million plus future clauses.
- Batshuayi, still playing at the Euro 2016, will make decision after tournament.
- It is understood he is keen to be holding out for a club playing Champions League football.
