Ecuador are all set to lock heads against Peru in the in the Centenario Copa America Group B clash at the University of Phoenix Stadium, Glendale, Arizona on Wednesday.
Peru made a flying start to their Copa America Campaign as they defeated Haiti 1-0 in their opening Copa America 2016 fixture. Peru were the only team to clinch all three points as Brazil’s clash against Ecuador eneded in a goalless draw. Peru coach Ricardo Gareca expects his side to hold on to the momentum against Ecudor as a win from here will see them advance to the knock-out stage.
On the contrary Ecuador needs at least a draw to keep their chances alive for a place into the last eight. With good performances in the last two editions of Copa America, Ecuador will hope to outplay their border-rivals and move step closer to the quarter-finals.
