Bayern Munich winger Douglas Costa insisted that 2017 will be ‘his year’ as he is training hard and is confident about lifting the Champions League and Bundesliga title this season.
Costa joined Bayern Munich in 2015 from Shakhtar Donetsk and now after 18 months he has finally found the tuning and hopes to guide his side to greater heights under Ancelotti.
Costa proved his mettle at Bayern Munich during his debut campaign but he made a slow start this season after suffering from muscular problems.
However, the Brazilian star has found his form before the mid-season break, when he found the net in Bayern Munich’s 5-0 win over Wolfsburg followed by a brilliant goal against Darmstadt in the next game.
He said: “2017 will be my year because I have been in Munich for two years. I’m just more integrated.”
“I also took two years to play well at Shakhtar Donetsk. I am almost that in Munich.”
“I wish for the Bundesliga and Champions League titles for 2017. That would be all right!”
